So here is a feature that we have been waiting a long time for. Quoting has arrived! (sorry, please excuse excitement!)
Now you can quote directly from Xero, using all of your current data (the quote screen pulls in all of your inventory items, customers, branding etc)
Just as with sales and purchases, you can save quotes for later editing and approval. This is great if you would like to do a quick sanity check on quotes raised by new or junior staff.
You can also set up separate branding themes in Xero invoice settings, including quote terms (how long is your quote valid for etc). Also remember to update your email templates for a separate one to choose when sending quotes.
A very cool feature is to be able to add titles and summaries to your quote, which is a great way to personalise your quote for your customer.
Once the customer accepts the quote it is a really easy process to “Mark as Accepted” and from here you can create an invoice. No more keying in of data! Smooth automation – we like!
